Espanol médico, nivel 6 (Medical Spanish Lessons, level 6)

Certainly the most demanding course in the series, Medical Spanish 6 provides further opportunities to develop the necessary skills to talk about past events and conditions, one of the most challenging points in learning Spanish. The student also learns to express desire, emotion, request, and negation within the medical framework, and to accurately describe specific steps in a surgery or procedure. Different types of emergencies and exams are presented and discussed. The student learns to describe in Spanish the nervous system and the various problems and conditions that affect it. Towards the end of this course, the student is presented with the basic tenets of English/Spanish medical translation, a most demanding and challenging technique that can only be effectively acquired once the student has a fairly good command of the target language.
